Cedar Imboden Phillips

Cedar Imboden Phillips is a public historian and diplomat with degrees from the University of Minnesota and the University of Delaware (where she was a graduate fellow at the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture and earned a Certificate in Museum Studies).

She has worked at museums and historic houses around the United States, including the Pasadena Museum of History, Tudor Place in Washington, D.C., and--most recently--the Hennepin History Museum in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she spent four years as executive director before joining the U.S. Foreign Service in 2019.

Cedar is also the author or co-author of six books about local history:
