The four-star
Hotel
Amadeus is no more than five minutes from Venice's main railway station,
on the main pedestrian street that leads toward the Piazza San Marco.
How to reach Hotel Amadeus from the train station:
- Leave the railroad station by the marble steps outside the main doors, or by the easy-to-miss
(and conveniently stair-free)
side exit if you have rolling luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair.
-
When you reach the wide fondamenta or pavement in
front of the station, turn left.
-
Walk past the Scalzi Church and the Scalzi Bridge toward the
Rio Terà Lista di Spagna (a busy pedestrian thoroughfare).
-
Continue down the Lista di Spagna for two or three minutes.
You'll see the Hotel Amadeus on your left, in a large yellow building with
flags on the façade.
From the Piazzale Roma:
-
Look for the Calatrava Bridge (a.k.a. the Ponte
della Costituzione). It's the large modern bridge at the northeast corner of
the square, next to the Hotel Santa Chiara.
-
Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead, past the large
building on your left, to the train station.
-
From the station, follow the directions above.
From the Marittima cruise terminals:
-
Take a shuttle bus, a taxi, or the
People Mover to the
Piazzale Roma.
-
Follow the directions above.
