Amsterdam 3-Star Hotels
from Amsterdam Web Guide

Amsterdam three-star hotels

Hotel AMS City Centre
This is a convenient place to stay if you're in Amsterdam for just one night or need to leave town early in the morning. It's very close to the Centraal Station, where frequent trains serve Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The hotel has 106 rooms, all with private shower or bath and toilet. Read guest comments.

Hotel Arena
The rooms in this restored 19th Century orphanage have a minimalist decor. The hotel, which has its own restaurant and trendy nightclub, is on the Gravesandestraat by the Oosterpark and near the Artis Zoo.

Hotel Avenue
This three-star deluxe hotel was once a warehouse of the East India Company. It has 50 rooms and is a two-minute walk from Amsterdam's Central Station.

Hotel Damrak
As the name implies, the three-star Damrak is on Amsterdam's main tourist street, with easy access to trams, shops, museums, and the railroad station. Canal tours depart from a pier across the street.

Hotel de Looier
It's only a five-minute walk to the Leidseplein from this building in the Jordaan district, which was built as a diamond factory in 1886 and converted recently into a hotel. If you can't decide between the area's many bars and nightclubs, try the hotel's own "Rock In and Roll Out" café.

Hotel Heemskerk
"The smallest three-star hotel in Amsterdam" has nine rooms that range from a single to a deluxe double with Jacuzzi and balcony. A triple and quad are also available. The Heemskerk was built in 1927 and is located in the Museum Quarter.

Hotel HEM Maas
The Maas (see photo above) is convenient to the Leidseplein, the Rijksmuseum, and the Vondelpark. Rooms range from singles to quads, and some have whirlpools and/or waterbeds. All floors are accessible by elevator. Read guest comments.

Hotel Multatuli
Looking for a comfortable hotel in the heart of town? The Multatuli fits the bill with 26 singles, doubles, triples, and quads in a traditional brick building just two blocks from the Damrak and three blocks from Centraal Station. Read guest comments.

NH City Centre Hotel
This large hotel, which is also known as the Tulip Inn Amsterdam City Centre, offers 209 rooms (including rooms for non-smokers and disabled guests). Unlike many Amsterdam hotels, the NH City Centre has its own parking garage. (Note: The NH City Centre should not be confused with the NH Amsterdam Centre, a five-star luxury hotel.)

IBIS Stopera
If you're looking for a modern hotel in the three-star range, this member of the IBIS chain is a worth a peek. It opened in 2000 and is about 5 minutes on foot from the Waterlooplein. The hotel is wheelchair-accessible.

Hotel Piet Hein
Rooms are furnished with a nautical theme at the Piet Hein, which faces the Vondelpark in the Museum Quarter. You can book a single, double, or "granlit" (double bed) room. Read guest comments.

Prinsen Hotel
Location is one reason to choose the Prinsen, a 45-room hotel on a residential street near the Leidseplein. Another reason is the building itself, which incorporates two classic Dutch townhouses and has a private garden.

Rho Hotel
The Rho occupies the former quarters of a gold-trading company, and the Art Deco lobby once belonged to a theatre. It's near the Dam square in central Amsterdam. Parking is available, and you can rent bicycles for sightseeing.

Hotel Smit
The Smit is on a shopping street near major museums and other tourist attractions. The KLM shuttle bus from Schiphol Airport stops outside the hotel.

Kosher

Hotel La Richelle
You can get a Kosher breakfast at this three-star hotel near the World Trade Center, which has two synagogues within walking distance.
